How to Become an Expert?

Step 1: Create a profile

1. Go to the Experts section
2. Click Become an Expert
3. Fill out your profile:
4. Areas of expertise
5. Work experience
6. Contact information
7. Wait for admin approval

Participating in a Hackathon

Receiving an invitation

1. An organizer sends you an invitation
2. You receive a notification
3. On the hackathon page accept or decline the invitation
4. After accepting — Expert Dashboard is available

Evaluating Solutions

How to evaluate?

1. On the hackathon page click Expert Dashboard
2. Open the list of submissions for your challenge
3. For each submission:
4. Review materials and files
5. Rate each criterion (1–10)
6. Leave a comment (optional)
7. Click Save Rating

Evaluation Criteria

How does the system work?

• The organizer sets criteria for each challenge
• Each criterion has a maximum score and weight
• Your rating (1–10) is multiplied by the maximum score
• Average is taken across all experts

Final ranking = sum of weighted averages across all criteria

Rating Aggregation

What is it?

A table showing all ratings from all experts for all teams

How to open: Hackathon page → right panel → Aggregation

Use it to compare ratings and check consistency

Hackathon Feed

What is it?

Organizers publish in the feed: - Announcements and news - Schedule changes - Important hackathon updates

How to open?

On the hackathon page go to the Feed tab

Leaderboard

How is ranking calculated?

1. Average ratings from all experts per criterion
2. Multiplied by criterion weight
3. Sum across all criteria = team's total score

The leaderboard updates in real-time

Expert Profile

What is displayed?

• Areas of expertise
• Work experience
• List of hackathons participated in

How to edit?

My Profile → Edit Profile

Notifications

What will you receive?

• 👨‍💼 Expert invitations to hackathons
• 📊 Leaderboard updates

FAQ for Experts

Can I change a rating after saving? Yes, you can update your rating at any time

How many hackathons can I evaluate at once? Unlimited

Can I apply without an invitation? Yes, through the hackathon page → Request membership as expert
